FLANGED PIPE TYPE
-Welded flanged pipes : flanges are welded on eigher side of a barrel pipe
-Cast flanged pipes :cast as a single unit using our advanced lost foam method
-Screwed flanged pipes : flanged are screwed-fit on eighter side of a barrel pipe
YIER principally manufacture flanged pipes using two methods
1) welded flange pipes
flanges are machined to an established "undersize"specifica to the pipe spigot , heated and shringk fitted to the pipe barrel , Subsequently they are welded to create a strong jointing system .
2) cast flange pipes
Flanged pipes with cast on flanges k9 k12 DN80~1200 <=1200MM
Thess pipes are cast in our foundry as a single unit , using our advanced lost foam casting method .
COATING AND LININGS
BLUE EPOXY -METALLIC ZINC -DUCTILE IRON-HIGH ALUMINA CEMENT
PIPES INTERNAL LINGING
Pipes are lined with sulphate resistant cement and then sealed with an epoxy risin over the cement . The linings has full drink water inspectorate (DWI) Regulation 31.4 (a) approval .
For drink water alternatively ,for flanged pipework, in applications such aspumping stations , treatment works and valve chambers .The pipes are supplied as standard with sulphate resisting cement to BS EN 545 sections 4.4.1 and 4.4.3. The lining complied with DWI regulation 31 4 (B)
For sewage water pipes will be lined with high alumina cement in accordance with BS EN 598 SECTIONS 4.4.3
PIPES EXTERNAL COATINGS
FOR DRINK WATER -The pipes are supplied with a layer of metallic zinc to BS EN545 section 4.2.1.and finished with a layer of blackbitumen or blue epoxy to BS EN 545 section 4 5.2 .Themetallic zinc is applied with a minium mass of 200g/m2
FOR SEWAGE - The pipes are supplied with a layer of metallic zinc to EN 598 SECTIONS 4.4.2 and have a finish layer of red EPOXY AS PER EN598 SECTION 4.1.4 AND 4.4.2.4
